New Haircut!

New Haircut!

My hair has been looking dead for some time now.

Since I’d found out I was pregnant I of cause haven’t been able to dye it or anything, which I usually do when I get bored of my hair. So instead it was time to cut it. I cut it myself and went for a style with some layers and a slight fringe.

Dam dam dam~

A new haircut again. I got tired of the long hair (it wasn’t even that long) and recently I’ve been in love with the reverse bob so that’s what I tried to do.

Back to Black

Back to Black

Because my hair had looked completely fucked regarding it’s color, I thought it was time to go back to the basics.

I really loved the red hair, but it was so damn hard to maintain and I didn’t do a proper job of it. So it was just much easier to did it all black. I basically cover the red and the roots with the black dye. The proper way to do it, is by removing the old color first, which I obviously didn’t do but it still turned out fine.

I finally died my hair completely red 🙂

My hair has grown very long over the last past months and after I bleached it, my ends split more and just looked plain dead. That’s why I finally cut off all the dead hair, even though I liked my long hair.

But if I want it to be healthy and grow again, I needed to cut if off. I did the haircut myself, so that’s why it’s maybe a little bit uneven.

I actually think I look better with shorter hair (I know it’s not really short or anything). Oh, I’m still sad about the red color vanishing… I’m really thinking about bleaching it again and maybe doing the whole hair… but I’m too scared to do it and afraid I’ll mess up my whole hair… I’ll do some more research and see if I can find some alternative method or something 🙂

Going Down Two Sizes

Going Down Two Sizes

When you are losing weight, there will come a beautiful time were you have to go down in dress size. I recently went from a UK size 14 to 10. That means that a lot of my old dresses are too big now. So I’ve asked my lovely mother to fit them down to my current size.

This is a dress from Dorothy Perkins I bought in the start of January 2015, not thinking about my weight loss journey at all. When I got the dress, it was already a bit too big, especially in the bust and waist. Now, months later, I want to use this dress for a friend’s wedding. So my mom fitted the dress down from UK size 14 to 10. The two pictures to the left are from the original size 14 and the two to the right, is after it has been fitted down. In all, the dress lost 12 centimeters around the bust, wait and hips. Uh, and 8 centimeters around the arms. I am so happy! Now it fits perfectly and I love it. A big thank you to my lovely mom! <3

I Dyed my Hair Red!!

I Dyed my Hair Red!!

I’ve wanted red hair for so long, and i finally managed to achieve the results I wanted 🙂

I made a video showing how I dyed my hair (I had already bleached it before hand).

EDIT:
After a few days, the color faded (because I was so clever to put a heavy curling cream in it). Since then, it has faded more and more, and there actually came a point where I re-dyed it. Sadly, when I dyed it the second time, the results weren’t as great as the first time. Probably because my hair wasn’t blonde anymore, but orange-ish. Since my re-dye my hair has lost color yet again, and that’s why it isn’t red anymore. It’s almost back to the blonde color it was before I dyed my hair red.

I’m really disappointed in the hair color, because it’s a permanent hair dye, and it’s like every time I washed my hair, the color got out. I even went out to buy conditioner and shampoo for color treated hair (I’ve never actually used those products even though my has been color treated for years).

I’m not actually sure what happen with the color, but I bet it was because of the curling creme I put in it, it took out the color immediately after I applied it. Guess I only have myself to blame for that one. I don’t know whether I’ll be dyeing it red again, I’d have to bleach it again to achieve optimal results and I’m just not sure about doing that again…

Use yourself as Motivation for your Weight loss!

Use yourself as Motivation for your Weight loss!

When I decided to lose weight, I immediately found some old photos of myself from a time were I had much more confidence and was happy with my body and how I looked.

I’ve used this photo as my wallpaper many times, to keep reminding myself what I’m striving for.

I think that when you’re on a weight loss journey, it’s crucial to be motivated and inspired. An old photo of yourself from a time were you had a weight that you felt great, confident and happy about is the best motivator you can find. I’ve read and heard many times that it’s a good thing to visualize what you will look like when you have reached desired weight – what better way to do this, than an old photo of yourself? Then you already know that you are capable of achieving your goal. You also know that your body has been at that desired size before. For me, that has made it a lot easier. Certainly a lot more relatable than a random photo of a beautiful fit woman hanging on my fridge.

The First Before and After Pictures

The First Before and After Pictures

These pictures are taken some time ago (before in the red bikini is July 2014 and the after picture in purple is from March 2015). I wouldn’t normally post pictures of myself almost naked, but what the heck, it’s only my body.

It shows how much weight I’ve lost and how far I’ve come! Since 11th March I’ve lost more and now weigh 64,4 kg today. Yay! I’ve actually lost 10 kg since December/January! Yay me! I think I have to celebrate later today, maybe with a good workout?
And what the heck happened to my skin? It got so much more even! And a lot of the stretchmarks aren’t that visible anymore (They have actually become lighter than before now). I really like my body now that I’ve lost weight. Before it looked like my body was about to blow up or something.. I also feel so much lighter! Yay!

Edit:

To celebrate that I’ve lost 10 kilos to this day, I’ve taken a new picture which is the one above 🙂

The next ‘Before and After’ pictures will be when I reach my goal of 60 kg!
I also got the Fitbit Charge HR Fitness watch yesterday and so far I’m loving it and it’s fun to use and work out 😀
Have an awesome day~

From Black to Golden Blonde

From Black to Golden Blonde

It has actually been about a week since I bleached my hair, and that’s why I think it is time to do an update about it.

I was supposed to film the whole process, but our bathroom is so tiny, I can’t use my camera with my 60 mm lens and studio lights in there (there’s also not enough light in there) so I decided that I didn’t want to film it anyway. And that was probably a very good idea, because the sent of the bleaching product made my eyes all watery and red. I looked like a person that had been crying for days without sleep! I have some pictures, but I’m grateful that I didn’t film it like I had originally planed.

But I’ll still tell you a bit about my experience with bleaching my hair with Manic Panic’s Flash Lightning Vol. 40 anyway. Of cause you have to follow the instructions on the package, but here’s a few other things to keep in mind when bleaching with this product:

  • Only bleach your hair in a room where you can open a window, because you are going to need the fresh air! The bleach has a very intoxicating smell and you shouldn’t breathe it for too long. If you need it, go outside and take in some fresh air. (that’s what I did).
  • Use tinfoil to wrap the hair, that way your old t-shirt doesn’t get too dirty or bleached.
  • I like to have straightened hair when I dye it. For this process, I only straightened the ends.
  • If you have really long hair like me, don’t bleach it by yourself! That’s what I did and because I parted my hair in two sections, there’s a color difference in my hair because one side had the bleach in it longer than the other (I tried my best to give the two sections the same amount of time, but I guess I failed). If you have another person or two to help you, you can dye all the hair at the same time, eliminating too much difference in color.
  • Also, I almost ran out of bleach. If I were to bleach it again, I would use two containers instead of just one. Before bleaching and buying the product, you should really think about how much of your hair you want bleached and if you are going to need only one or two products. The color difference is also partly because I ran out of bleach about halfway…
  • Think about where you want the color to be strongest and start with that section of the hair. I started from the back and then to the front. If you want the front to be brighter, you have to start there.

Well, that’s the extra advice I have for you when bleaching your hair. And I guess it goes for plain hair dyeing too. I hope this helps, so you don’t make the same mistakes as me 🙂

I was very pleased with the results and the color! I love the golden blonde so much that I’m thinking twice about dyeing it red now. Maybe I’ll stay with this blonde look for the summer and dye it red for fall.

If you bleach your hair with this product, you are very welcome to comment about your experience and advice if you have any.

Now it’s time for all the pictures! Notice that my left side is more brighter and golden than the right side. I still think it’s pretty though, but it would have been nice if both side had the same color.
