My Weight Loss: Then and Now

My Weight Loss: Then and Now

It’s been a year since I decided to lose weight and began exercising. I’m baffled by how much have happened, how much weight I’ve lost and how much more confident I’ve become.

It’s like a new and better me. I’m still not exactly where I want with my weight on the scale, but I’m very happy with how my body looks now.

To celebrate my one year weight loss anniversary I took a new picture of myself today. And yes, it’s in my underwear again. I don’t own any bikini anymore… I’ve spent all summer going from store to store to look for the perfect bikini, but I found none.

The one from the left in my old bikini is before, a year ago and the one to the right is taken today. I’ve gone down from size large to small in tops and from xtra large to medium in leggings and from UK size 14 to 10 in dresses.

I like my body so much more now and I’m actually very happy with it. I don’t mind what the scale says, as long as I maintain my weight. Still, I would like to lose 1-2 kg to reach my goal weight.

My New Nike Free TR 5

My New Nike Free TR 5

I’ve had my first pair of training shoes for just over a year and they have always been uncomfortable. I only bought them because I was unsure whether I could stick with my training routines or not (when I decided to lose weight). They were also cheap, so the quality wasn’t really something to jump for.

I then finally decided to buy a new pair, a pair or Nike Free TR 5s in the ‘breathe’ edition. I actually wanted to design my own pair, but I’ve never owned Nike’s before and because I didn’t know how they would fit me, I decided to go down the safe path and bought some pre-designed.

And they are great! Never have a shoe fit me so perfectly. It’s like it was made for my foot 😮 They are so light-weight and it almost feels like you don’t have any shoes on. It’s a pleasure to work out with them. I’m so happy with these.

I got them i a blue/teal color. My boyfriend says they are green… are they green or blue? I see baby-blue.

Soaked in sweat!

Soaked in sweat!

You know you have put in the right amount of work, when you are actually soaked in your own sweat from top to bottom and from fingertips to your toes. If this happens to you every time you work out – good on you! I don’t normally sweat THIS much when I work out, but yesterday I just had extra fun with my workout 🙂

Keep on working on your goals and you will get there soon! Remember that hard work pays off :b

Use yourself as Motivation for your Weight loss!

Use yourself as Motivation for your Weight loss!

When I decided to lose weight, I immediately found some old photos of myself from a time were I had much more confidence and was happy with my body and how I looked.

I’ve used this photo as my wallpaper many times, to keep reminding myself what I’m striving for.

I think that when you’re on a weight loss journey, it’s crucial to be motivated and inspired. An old photo of yourself from a time were you had a weight that you felt great, confident and happy about is the best motivator you can find. I’ve read and heard many times that it’s a good thing to visualize what you will look like when you have reached desired weight – what better way to do this, than an old photo of yourself? Then you already know that you are capable of achieving your goal. You also know that your body has been at that desired size before. For me, that has made it a lot easier. Certainly a lot more relatable than a random photo of a beautiful fit woman hanging on my fridge.

Exercise should be Fun!

Exercise should be Fun!

Exercising and working out is supposed to be fun and challenge at the same time! I’m having so much fun working out and trying new things.

If you don’t think working out if fun, try to find some music that you like with a happy and upbeat beat. Or try working out to a video to mix things up.

I’ve almost reached my goal!!
